Spent the day getting things wrapped up around the house and getting everything packed up and ready to go. Liz swung by on her way over to the new Salon that she and Eric Bilardi are setting up. I was saddened not to be able to go over and see the new space. By the time Duane arrived at 6:15pm I was glad I hadn’t gone because I never would have had everything organized.

Headed over to Silver Lake to have a bon voyage meal with Duane, Kristen, Mike and Vince at Leela Thai. Had some delicious string beans and tofu. The group skipped the RES screening to see me off at the Burbank airport.

Was a little scattered when I got to the x-ray and metal detector and managed to leave my cell phone in my pocket. This got me an extra thorough going over by the security agents. Sped to the gate at the other end of the terminal expecting to be one of the last on the plane, only to find the plane wasn’t even there yet. The 8:50pm flight didn’t get going until 9:30pm. I had a middle seat sandwiched in between a large Director of Photography and a little old man with a stylish (cough) rat-tail descending from his balding head. I did my best to sleep though the flight. The rest was fitful, but I did manage to drift off for most of the journey.
