Up again at 7:30am. After a quick breakfast, we headed over to meet with the folks that run Entropy, a contemporary art gallery. They had a cool show of interesting wood pieces that seemed to be integrated into the gallery. The directors talked a bit about the gallery and then showed us some animated works they had made. The work looked like very dated stuff done with Director.

Entropy gallery: entry, office, exterior graffiti and directors.
Headed over to BWA, a municipal gallery, similar to the Arsenal in Poznań. The director was a very articulate man who showed us slides of some of their passed exhibits. After the slides were finished, we went outside to a garden café and had more informal discussion. He was quite candid and had some interesting commentary on the state of the arts in Wrocław. The group split with half going back to Wega and the others trying a new restaurant.

In the BWA courtyard for a frank discussion with it's director.
We headed over to the Puppet Theater for a tour. The facility was quite impressive and the collection of puppets was superb. A huge pile of literature was made available to our group and it was snatched up with haste. The group split again. Joanna, Wojciech, Koby, Laura, Asia and I stayed at a café near the theater. The rest of the group returned for Double Edge’s performance of “The Unpossesed” at 7pm.

At the puppet theater.
“The Unpossesed” was based on the legend of Don Quixote. The performance was very unbalanced. Several very young actors were not doing well at attempting to keep up with the seasoned members of the group. I found out later that two actors who had come from Poland to work on the piece with the US actors had left with very short notice just a month before the group was to start touring with the piece.

With Asia's aunt and uncle in the puppet theater lobby. Double Edge's “The Unpossesed.”
We joined Double Edge at the Sphinx on the rynek for an awkward dinner. Most of our group was not impressed with the performance and were somewhat at a loss for what to say to the performers. Laura, Margaret, Asia and I headed back over to the bar by WRO. A group of young percussionists did two awesome Brazilian-style drumming sets. Walked home through a light drizzle.

At the bar next to WRO, enjoying a drink made to resemble the Polish flag. The red layer was augmented with Tabasco.
