I am optimistic that these will be the last of the flea bite scars that grace my flesh for some time.
My alarm went off at 08:00 and I was awake just enough to acknowledge that it had gone off and that I should have done something about getting up. I was next aware of my surroundings at noon. The long night of moving had really taken it out of me. I woke up with a terrible knot in my left shoulder blade and I was unsure if it came from all of the moving or sleeping in a poor position.
Had a nectarine and got to work on my computer. There was no power in the house so I was careful to keep things on low while I worked to extend the life of my battery. Michael headed out around 13:10 and asked if we could meet him down at the Kumquat to finish up the blurb to go in Yeşim's class schedule. Willow, fALk and I got down to the coffee house a little after 14:00. Michael looked over our writeup and added his bit. He and Yeşim discussed the finer details. Some of it seemed like they hadn't talked about the project much. Michael left to go and try to arrange for the power to be turned on. fAlk and I went up to the terrace with Yeşim to see how many students we thought we could comfortably fit up there. We talked about the course and came up with some ideas to help get it promoted. We will see about having a free seminar to introduce VJing to our potential students and members of the press.
We spent another couple of hours at the Kumquat before heading off to look for some supplies for the household. We ended up getting a mop and bucket along with a trash-can. The rest of the items we needed would have to wait for another time. Willow disappeared and the rest of us came back to the house with our things. I took off the swinging bar doors that were at the top of the stairs. Willow showed up a bit later with some fruit and deserts. We sat down for a little snack before going to collect our laundry. I was very happy to have most of my clothes cleaned and ready to go.

My little 250 x 330 cm room.

The kitchen.

The entry and Renee's room.

Michael's room (He is paying the rent so he gets the biggest space.)

The upstairs office area.

The upstairs terrace and the moon rising over the bridge to the Asian side of Istanbul.
Hung out with Michael on the terrace and watched the moon rise over the bridge to the Asian side of Istanbul. Found out that Michael was unable to get the power turned back on and that it could be up to ten days before it might get turned on once the application was submitted. This was certainly discouraging news. Went back down to the Kumquat to power up my laptop and get online.
Left the Kumquat around midnight and hiked back to the house with Renee. I came back down to have a little bite to eat at Memet's. Managed to get what I wanted with my extremely limited Turkish. Got to bed around 02:00.
