Yeşim's new car

Spent the morning working on the Artificial Eyes website.

Yeşim came by around 13:00 with a brand new 2006 Nissan Micra. Michael invited me along for the test ride and had his DVD recorder with him that needed to be dropped off at the service center. It soon became apparent the Yeşim was not at all thrilled with this arrangement. She had a romantic ride alone with Michael in mind. It took some time to find the Philips service center, as it was tucked away in between two apartment buildings in a predominantly residential area. Zoning laws are for all intents and purposes non=-existent in Turkey. We got the unit dropped off and had a little bit of a spin in the new car before Yeşim had to get back to her office.

Yeşim's new Nissan Micra. The Philips service center tucked away in a residential neighborhood.

Puttered around the house for the rest of the afternoon. Headed over to Indigo at 18:30. Took us quite a while to get across town. We snuck in a workman entrance over a huge pile of crap. It really seemed like things were not going to be any where near ready for the opening night, two days away.

We met with Vadı and Cihan, looked over the new Epson projector they had gotten and talked about where we were going to be set up for the show. After we had gotten everything sorted out, we hiked down Istaklal to meet Yeşim and Bea and Ina for dinner.

Two days prior to the grand opening and I wasn't sure that Indigo was going to make it. The Indigo guys had gotten a brand new Epson EMP-S3 projector for the season.

Had a traditional turkish dinner at a place that had been opened by a bunch of the waiters at surrounding restaurants who knew they could do a better job. We had a variety of dishes and then a bunch of specialty courses which all had meat in them, so I continued to work on the initial offerings. Yeşim headed for home and Bea and Ina came with Michael and I back to the house in Ortaköy.
